The advertised "up to $4M" claim

Every propfirm in 2026 advertises "scale up to $4M" or "$2M" or "$10M." Let's do the actual math.

Typical scaling structure:

You need 5 consecutive 10% gains with NO drawdown breach between them. Each phase typically takes 4-8 weeks of disciplined trading. Total time: 5-12 months minimum.

The realistic completion rate

Across documented Discord communities (une propfirm de référence, une propfirm de référence, une propfirm de référence, ~10,000 funded traders), the realistic scaling completion rates are:

In other words: out of 1,000 traders who passed an eval, ~5 reach the "$3.2M scaled" claim. Out of these 5, most reduce their position-sizing dramatically once they're at this level (which the propfirm's scaling clauses don't always allow).

The compounding math

$100k → $3.2M = 32x. To achieve 32x in net profit-share without any rule violation, you need exceptional consistency. Median performance: ~5% per month net of fees. At that pace, doubling takes 14 months. 32x takes ~5 years of unbroken consistency.

Real-world data: almost no funded trader maintains a 5%/month average over 5 years. The few who do are either (a) the absolute top 0.1% of trader DNA or (b) running an external strategy that doesn't depend on propfirm rules.

The honest assessment

If you're a normally talented trader, the realistic ceiling is Phase 1-2 ($100k-$200k funded), which translates to ~$3k-$8k/month in profit-share if you stay disciplined. That's a real income, but not the "$4M scaling" advertised.
